A women’s health Blog you ask? Why not? What is a health blog? Just because we are over 50 does mean that we should just sit around and wait. I felt by blogging about health and motivation, I could change that. I know by researching and utilising these ideas, I am feeling much better physically and my outlook is much brighter. Whether it be about better sleeping habits or foods to eat or avoid, learning is key.

Women’s Health is Important

I started this blog a few years ago. It seem like many of my parts started to get stiff and hurt. Was it my diet, was it lack of exercise or maybe it was something associated with getting older that I would have to deal with? Ohhhh I love researching things so with a little push from my life coach, I was off and running.

Many people dismiss pain as “I am getting older, it is to be expected.” When I first noticed joint pain was when I had a desk job. I started to walk on my lunch half hour break. Half an hour isn’t much when you would like to cover a lot of ground or steps. That is when I got a Fitbit and started to really pay attention. Starting with 10,000 steps a day doesn’t sound like much but when it is supper time and you only have 5,000, it makes a difference.

My desk job started at 9:00, I worked at home, what I tried was getting up earlier and going for a walk. My doggy companions were very happy about that.

Woman’s Health is all about Good Eating too

In my blogs, I will cover eating for health. Experts say to eat clean. What is this? Make a practice of eating fresh vegetables, fruits and homemade things. If the packaged food you find in the store contains words you cannot pronounce, put it back on the shelf. We will go more into this on my blogs.

Something for Everyone Concerning Woman’s Health

My blog is for the things you can’t see as well. We will discuss mental health. People can see a broken leg or a rash but mental health cannot be seen and although it is getting better, people still stigmatize it.
